Missing My Heart

I live alone,

but sometimes I make enough noise

for two dozen drunken sailors,

chasing my heart

around the house.

It's a wonder the neighbors

don't call the cops!

If it's not bouncing

off the walls,

I catch it snuggling

with the dust bunnies

under the bed.

Now it's squeezed itself

into this glowing screen!

If it comes out on that side

watch your shoes.

It likes to chew on them.

And don't start laughing,

or you'll never catch it!
