Searching

>From the depths we came

searching, ever searching,

never knowing we had it all along.

It was there, all around us, all the while,

but the searching had become a habit

that we had to give up for

finding.

Now, it is not an easy thing

to relinquish the desire that we have

carried for so very long.

But how can we win the freedom

of the skies with this burden?

It seems there always comes a time

for each of us to step off

into the great mystery,

and trust the wind to carry us

Home.
