Guest guest
The mind creates all problems. By giving up all 'beliefs' and the need for beliefs (surrendering), problems are ended. When solutions aren't imagined possible, where did the problems go? In fact, there are no problems at all...but in order to continue a never-ending cycle, non-existent problems are created by the mind and "solutions" are searched for. Well, okay...hmmm. Yesterday I read a wonderful (sad also and poignant) article in the latest issue of "Hinduism Today" about efforts to assist those in the area of the terrible earthquakes. I find it difficult to get into discussions over the use of words (perhaps this is what is driving Tony's missives to the group). Perhaps 50,000 people killed and 20 million people in 7,904 villages being otherwise affected, is not a "problem" needing a "solution," but I am very glad that so many, of many faiths and persuasions have rushed to their aid. Ammachi has personally sent many of her own devotees, including medical teams from the hospitals she has built to help the people of Kerala, where there have been almost no medical facilities or treatment available. If "effort" is irrelevant, why do those who become the saints and sages perform tapas? I will say nothing more on this, except that if we are not part of the "solution(s)" then we are part of the "problem(s)."
