Too Simple

Many things born into this world,

It seems, have the capacity to

experience sorrow.

Many things, it seems, also have

the capacity to experience joy.

Human beings, strangely enough,

sometimes seem to have the

ability to decide which they

will experience, by choosing

a course of action that directs

them to the experience of either.

It remains somewhat of a mystery

to me, why we will, so often, chose

a course of action that delivers one

to an experience of the former

over the later.

Then again, maybe sometimes

things just appear too simple.
