And therein is a *key*. Right now you are seeing the other as the teacher, and you the student. The student and teacher are not separate, and if you see them as separate, it does create an 'us vs. them' energy -- an energy that only exists because of perception. This energy can drain you because it is separatist. Even in the *nicest* of conversations, it can do the same, when there is this feeling of being separate. And right now, as I *teach* you, it is only ideas I want to strengthen within my own self so I do not forget again <sigh>... therefore I am the student too. > and one will never be banned (in spite of the Zen-sticks smacking all > over the place,.. also between the members). > it looks more like an old-days therapy-session of reciprocal 'ar.. > kicking'.. only here with the 'holy' intention to knock the ego out. And what is the ego but a *knowing* of separation which creates fear, guilt -- that there is a student (you) and there is a teacher (them). > Is Life, not doing a good enough job of that ?.. does it need the > help of all these self-appointed mini-gurus ? Appoint yourself guru, teach them what it is YOU want to learn for yourself, and/or strengthen within yourself... AND can teach them also... that way both can grow and learn. No need to teach them 'to be kind' if you already know how to be kind -- give them the space to teach you as you become the *student* when and if they are ready to learn it -- you may have to scream and yell at them so they can *teach* (and strengthen within theirself) the ideas of kindness, or whatever it is they would want to learn. If you do not know how to be kind already -- and I find that doubtful! -- feel free to teach *them* the kind way - both will win. That particular list sounds like the perfect opportunity to do this. > How can there be any joint friendly inquiry, in the midst of all > those threats and 'plates' flying over or at one's head ? Once oneness is seen in this way, the threats and plates will stop flying... and you will begin to soar! It cannot help but allow healing and growth with all parties involved. If you want an easier and gentle way of growth, where kindness rules first, a place like Harshasatsangh is the perfect pace... I mean place. :-) > Well, I have just mentioned this as an example of authority and 'us > vs, them'. Exactly. Thank you for all your help! Now go forth and soar! It might not take as loooooonnnnngggg to stop stumbling in those Bitch of a Hallways! : ) " A Mirror cannot see itself, but reflects everything it sees.So what you really are in your life, you're reflecting all over the place. If you feel hurtable, then things will happen to hurt you. Whatever you feel, you attract more and more of the same. You're always seeing your own image. This is why it is so foolish to me when people get excited, when there's man's inhumanity to man going on, there's conflict, chaos and confusion. These people only see themselves, when in truth there is only One Self.. That Self is Consciousness. It's all the same. There's not yourself and myself. There is only the SELF." "And yet here we are looking at each other. What do you see when you look at each other? Most of us see another person. But is there really another person? You know when you go to sleep and you dream at night, the dream becomes like a big bubble, and the bubbles contain the whole Universe. Just like this, people, place and things, situations ensue, people are born, people get old and people die. It all happens in a dream, in the bubble. But where did the bubble come from, the dream bubble? Where else, it came out of yourself. You're having a dream. But listen to this. This is a miracle. You are creating the whole dream world which you dream about. You create everything......" Robert Adams P.S. and to Bo , back at you ~*~ (private joke) ; ) Stumbling along my merry way, (Harsha, in my case could posting be considered a phobic avoidance??? heh heh : ) ) Love, ~jessica
