Hi Jan and others on list.

I need some advice on nutrition.

After the initial of celibacy, like Jan says, energy increased, with very

positive effects.

However, the metabolism seems to have increased as well.

Now no food seems to feed the body the right way. The food is either

uncomfortably heavy (meat) and creates a drag for the energy, like turbulence

around an object and causes a feeling of discomfort instead of fullness. Or the

food is too insubstantial (bread, rice) and seems to evaporize too quickly,

without giving the energy something to work with. I have tried to alternate a

light food with more heavy food, but have problems striking the right balance

and have lost weight lately (unwanted). Because of allergy, eggs, dairy, nuts,

raisins, some beans and some fruits that are typical high energy foods are not

useful.

I would like to hear if anyone can recommend foods they have found beneficial

for the Kundalini energy.

Love,

Amanda.

Amanda,

It isn't just the choice of food, what is of vital importance is the digestive

capacity of your body. So do an analysis to find out if the food is digested

properly: I know of cases where food was excreted, almost without digestion and

could even demonstrate it myself :) This ties in with something else, the amount

of energy, required to extract the nutrients from food. Although fruits and

veggies are low in calories, little energy is required for digestion and watery

fruits will have left the stomach within an hour after consumption, whereas a

piece of cheese can stay as long as 4 (!) hours in the stomach before it is

passed on to the intestines.

If digestion is a problem, the advice would be not to eat veggies but to juice

them. Put the juice in a blender and add some seeds (100... 200 grams of flax-,

sesame- or sunflower-). Eventually add some tamari and herbs or spices to get

the proper taste and the blend will be a kind of tasty porridge, rich in

calories and nutrients, yet easily digestible - much easier than any type of

processed food. It won't give the "instant, explosive" energy a fruitarian

enjoys but it certainly comes at a worthy second place...

Love,

Jan
