Guest guest
Have read this some place. jb. -------------------------- POSTING FOR DUMMIES 1. Before posting the post think a while about possible effects. 2. Never examine your words, whether they say truth or not, but what reply you may expect. 3. Sending a rude or harsh post accept in advance a rude answer. 4. Sending post on controversial subject accept in advance controversial replies. 5. Do not defend stupid posts only because they are your own. 6. Never try to say the last word. Even if you are right in the beginning you most likely be wrong in the end. 7. Never use negative emotional labels to comment someone's post ('aggresive', 'uncompassionate', 'hostile') but use your insight to reply accordingly. 8. Never believe that your post will change something in your opponent's thinking. 9. Before replying something be sure that there is no auto-irony there. Taking seriously a joke you will ridicule yourself. 10. If you believe in intelligence of majority do not argue too much, especially defending yourself. Negativity has a self-evidence quality. Say only as much as is needed. 11. Don't expect that your love & compassion will attract only pleasant reactions. Compassion needs sometimes someone's anger & hostility to feed itself. 12. Never say "I'm leaving" while leaving. Mailing lists are not an opera where singers sing "I'm dying" for a half-an-hour. Here such anouncements are funny.
