Devotees who have been thronging the 28-year-old Mangala Vinayagar temple on the Panadiyan kovil street in Krishnapuram Colony to get a sight of the ghee coming out from the head of the deity Hanuman, call it “a miracle of God”.

For the last 20 days, people from the neighbouring locality too have started visiting the temple to witness it.

“I was fascinated when I heard about this. A senior saint told me that it is a blessing from God and he warned us not to take photographs of the idol. Everyday, at 8.30 am, we perform a regular pooja and after a while, we find the idol covered with ghee,” said Ramanan, a regular visitor to the temple.

Ravi, a fire rescue staff, who has come all the way from Sholavandan to visit the temple told Express: “I heard from a friend that ghee flows from the idol automatically. It was shocking but it is also a miracle and that is the reason I have come here.”

A lady resident, who has been visiting the temple for the past six years said: “This was the first time, I witnessed such a miracle and felt blessed. Most people think it is superstitious, but it is a miracle.”
