Vedanta, the essential core of Hinduism, is the universal science of life, relevant to all people of all backgrounds and faiths. Vedanta inspires spiritual seekers to understand their own faith better.
Chinmaya Mission is a global organisation with over 300 centers around the world engaged in spiritual, educational and social services. They will be organising the 16th Vedanta Course (2014-2016) at Sandeepany Sadhanalaya, Powai, Mumbai. Disciples of this course will learn Advaita Vedanta based on various scriptural texts, the primary three being the Upanishads, Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, and the Brahma Sutras.
At Sandeepany, there will be regular sessions on Vedic chanting, Sanskrit language, and meditation which are essential preparations for an understanding of the texts.
The residential course in English will commence on August 29, 2014.
University graduates, unmarried and free from family encumbrances between the age group of 20 and 30 with a willingness to serve the Chinmaya Mission Worldwide are eligible for admission. Selected candidates will be provided free accommodation, food, clothes, books and medical facilities.
