Mysterious Kundalini

KUNDALINI, the mysterious power has been a subject of research for

many centuries. There are various definitions of Kundalini. It is

also said that It was Guru Matsyendra Nath (of Nath-Sect) who first

got the tantra of Kundalini from Shiva and introduced human beings

to kundalini. Now let us see what different explanations we can have

abt kundalini

 

Dr. Rele has in his book"The mysterious Kundalini" written --…

Kundalni is in fact Right Vagus Nerve because the description of

Vagus and its connections with the important plexeses of the

sympathetic runs parrallel with the description of Kundalini and her

connection with Chakras"

 

Mr. A.Arthur in his book "The serpent power" has written Kundalini is

the Static Shakti. It is the individual bodily representation of the

great cosmic power(shakti) which creates and sustains the universe"

 

Sir John W. stated "Shortly stated Energy polarises itself into two

forms namely static or Potential and dynamic and it is called

Kundalini"

 

Swami Vivekananada writes " The centre where all resident

sensations are, as it was stored up is called Muladhara chakra

and the coiled up energy of action is kundalini, meaning the coiled

up"

 

Sant Gyaneshwar explained " Kundalini is like a serpent of Red-

orange color and it is having 3 and half coils and sleeps in

Muladhara by keeping its tail into mouth"

 

Hathhyoga Pradeepika explains

 

"…Kandodharva kundalinishakti supta miokkshaya yoginaam…bandhaya cha

mudhanaam….etc"

means those who awaken kundalini and take it up, get Moksha and those

who do not ,are dragged into circles of life and death again and

again"

 

Roscicrucion society also believes that Kundalini is a secret

power in us and is situated near heart.

 

Siva Samhita explains " treya loke yaani bhootani taani

sarvana dehata…etc means the body of man is a small reflection of the

univeerse and all the powers which are operative in the universe are

working the human body too.

 

Jyotish Sastra also accept that all the sun-sign in the universe are

situated in human body too (thus equating our body with  Universe).

 

some also think that Kundalini is not a real sleeping power but when

by Pranayama we mate the Apana prana with Samana prana a great

light and force is achieved, which is called kundalini.

 

Based on different explanations we can come to a general acceptable

idea about kundalin. So far we find that Kundalini is a sleeping

power in us, which when awakens removes the ignorance and gives us

siddhis and finally Moksha. This Kundalini if not awakened takes us

from one life to the other. Kundalini is the main cause of our

Ignorance (Avidya) and it can be made cause of our Gyan and

The kundlini is dynamic externall supportive power

which gets dynamics by the vibrations of chanting of

the mantra given by sadguru.When it is awakened it has

terrific attraction towards third eye and speeds like

anything.It creats fear in the observer at the same

time a pleasure beyond expressions.The body becomes

rockstill and the control is beyond the individual.The

speed of kundlini takes away the sences to third eye

and the collective jeeva(astral body) enters into

devine zone which comes across various planes of

existance.then it is said that the third eye is

opened.

 

If the focus is the centre of crown chakra the

individual enters into samadhi.

 

The dynamics causes variuos sounds which are called as

anahata nada when it passes at the anahata chakra.when

the kundlini reaches at third eye the oozing of sweet

fluds are observed which is called as amritsrava.and

the experince of lights are observed.(bindu darshan)

 

But the most important part of it is it demands

blessing of sadguru.the faith and patience.

Thanks udai for supplementing the info on kundalini.  Though there

are books on Kundalini, but practical experience depends upon

individual.

 

   You wrote most important part is blessing of sadguru....  Is it

always necesary to have blessings of sadguru ?

 

   I have seen cases where Kundalini was awakened without any guru

and the individual made good progress.

 

    What are your views on the fact that Kundalini awakening not

always leads to enlightenment.

 

   There are some cases where Kundalini awakening leads to

enlightenment, in some cases partially seeing the truth, and in some

cases leading to insanity.

As i know kundlini is external supplimentary powerfull

force & its individual capacity and strength how to

utilise it.It is very helpfull to let the collective

awareness in the body to fly into the devine sky.

 

The power of kundlini gives sidhdhis.and it takes the

user to different planes.But if the grace and power of

sadguru is not there he is not permitted to enter the

lokas.Under such condition the sadguru is needed to be

a realised one otherwise his name also is not

accepted.

specifically when someone goes to heaven they ask ,The

reason is the soul may continue the stay in heaven

even before the natural death is occured.

 

There is example of king Trishanku ,whom Lord

Vishwamitra elevated by use of kundlini and put him in

heaven,but Lord Indra pushed him back.The kundlini was

forcing him upwards while Lord Indra was pushing him

downwards.he left hanging inbetween.Trishanku was not

deserved for heaven by his karmas.

 

The kundlini is a power and user is the director.If

the mind doesnt know surreneder to sadguru or supreme

god, its possible that it is not pure,it may get

illusionised with the devine illusions and the use of

kundlini is wasted.Same example is Lord Vishwamitra

got with Apsara Menka.It took several years to gain

the potential of kunlini for him to reach again at

upper planes.

 

In my views true surreneder is only possible when

there is duality and form of sadguru is

available.Since our focus is material we need material

(physical) form of sadguru.When we enter into devine

world the form of sadguru is available in devine form

along with us and he remains there until the

supercasual level.That makes enlightment possible for

the deceple.

 

Traveling alone in spiritual journey may cause

failures and its very difficult but not

impossible.Only focused ones can attain the

realisation in such cases.

 

The sanity is lost sometimes when the physical body is

not capable of handling the dynamics of kundlini it

may burst some of nerves system in the body.Some may

become mad in such cases.

 

Its systematic study and sadhna for kundlini and needs

physical body too perfect.
